Exactly. We also need to shout from the rooftops that this attempted extermination of the Jews of Israel was, from the start, a continuation of Nazism - with very many actual Nazis involved.

The deluded antifa types who claim Israelis are _like_ Nazis - because that’s the very worst metaphor you could apply to the Jewish people - need to read some history about their cherished cause.

The Nakba =the Arab states telling Arab-Palestinians to leave the newborn Israel (a “tiny bridgehead” of 650,000 Jews up against 30 million Arabs and 300 million Muslims) so they could exterminate them. Arab leaders made no secret of their intentions. Eg the head of the Arab League, Abdul Rahman Azzam: “This war will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongol massacres and the Crusades.”

‘Palestinian leaders included several Nazi collaborators that poured into Palestine after passage of the UN’s resolution. In addition to the grand mufti Palestinian leader al-Husseini [a paid-up Nazii] they included the head of the Arab Liberation Army, Fawzi el-Kaukji, who took part in the fascist revolt against the British in Iraq in 1940 and then escaped to Berlin, where he recruited Balkan Muslims for the Wehrmacht. Another Palestinian military commander, Sheik Hassan Bey Salameh, was a former staff officer under Rommel. Salameh had last appeared in Palestine in 1944 when he was dropped as a Reichswehr major for sabotage duties. For good measure, German Nazis, Polish reactionaries, Yugoslav Chetniks, and Bosnian Moslems flocked [into Palestine] for the war against the Jews.’

As someone raised in the American South who now lives in Haifa, I see a parallel between Southern good ole boys’ favorite holiday, Confederate Memorial Day, and Nakba Day. Both are attempts at historical revisionism and an attempt to repaint role of the “aggressor.”

That's a good point. It's a unfortunate human quality that we try very hard not to accept fault and not to change our minds about things we deem important. Another way of looking at it is that when ideology and facts collide, ideology always wins.

Great article.

My opinion is: cause of antisemitism and Arab propaganda.

Antisemitism was an introduction to Shoah - in the middle of the 20th century. How’s that possible?! But it happened!, thanks to propaganda.

Because the legacy media is pushing the radical far left agenda.

This far left is funded not only by the NGOs with our taxpayer money, but by extreme nut cases like Soros, whom now has a son to carry out his own special form of insanity, much like the hatred past from Hamas father to son...

Hamas needs to be destroyed, much like Soros, in order for this blinding hatred to stop...because in all truth there will always be someone willing to not only listen, but believe in their hate.

Amazing how many layers there are to the problem ... so much inexplicable hatred, and it's taught from generation to generation, and for sure the media has failed our society terribly!

So the great catastrophe is that when the Arabs massed to try to wipe out all the Jews, their dreams of Jewish genocide failed. That is probably why the west sides with the "Palestinians", because their dreams of wiping all the Jews off the face of the earth have also failed. The "Palestinians" are the West's proxies, who openly live to kill Jews and in that struggle, they allow the West to keep their hands clean. That is why the West never lets the "Palestinians" lose, and adores them no matter what. There is no bottom of depravity for which the "Palestinians" will not be forgiven. If the best minds of "Palestine" had spent the past six generations working for advances in medicine, engineering, arts, anything towards the betterment of their people instead of the eradication of the Jews, they would be a great and glorious people with all the honor they claim to have lost. But they are a people with no honor and who live to murder. So sorry about the catastrophe that there are still Jews alive.

Because they’ve apparently lost perspective. To avenge the killing of 1200 by killing over 50,000 and counting, and destroying Everything those people need, they don’t look good. They look very bad. And when you look like the bad guys, the majority turns against you. A child could understand this. Many children in Gaza’s and the West Bank understand it.

First, you immediately name the figure of 50,000, which was invented by terrorists and voiced by anti-Israeli media.

Second, you manipulate the concepts of "avenged the murder of 1,200." This is not what happened at all. Israel was attacked by an enemy who killed 1,200 Israelis. A war began, during the war Israel defended itself from thousands of rocket attacks, military operations and tried to destroy the aggressor. You are not going to claim that only Israel is prohibited from destroying the aggressor who attacked the country and killed its citizens?

As a result of this war, thousands of terrorists with weapons in their hands died, and because these terrorists did everything to kill as many civilians as possible (we do not know how many there were, but many times less than you wrote), residents of Gaza died. That is why, and not because Israel "avenged the murder of 1,200." None of this would have happened if Hamas had not attacked Israel and deliberately violated every possible rule and law of war.

Do you still have a grievance against Israel?

When Japan hit Pearl Harbor, they killed about 2400 soldiers and 49 civilians, mostly civilian workers on in the base's shipyard.

One US bombing campaign on Tokyo, Operation Meetinghouse, killed 100,000 Japanese. There were more like that, and around 1/2 million Japanese civilians died in that war, plus more than 2 million soldiers.

So, 500,000 Japan civ ÷ 49 US civ = ten thousand to one. Hamas got over 1,000 unsuspecting civilians in their surprise attack, to equal the WWII Pacific ratio Israel would have to whack about 5 times the population of Gaza. No sane adult in the USA celebrates those deaths in Japan, and no sane adult feels guilt over them. We're now allies.

Wars are ugly, don't start one.

Those raids in WWII were bombing cities, so the casualties were often civilian. The cities had mil facilities mixed in. No one, including Japan, complained about the deadly raids. Japan would have done the same to the US if they had the capability.

Japan fought until they saw overwhelming force, then they surrendered. Not a cease fire, not "here's our demands", but "we want to stop fighting, we'll do whatever you want". We didn't send them one food ration nor one gallon of fuel, until after they surrendered.

After that, and only after that, Japan changed from a militaristic nation which terrorized its neighbors to a fantastically productive society allied with the USA in the Cold War. The war did that, not protesters, not moralists, not 5th columnists posing as humanitarian.

Japan and the US went to war in 1941. The war between the Palestinians and the Israelis began in 1948. In 1967 the Israelis conquered all of former Palestine and Egyptian territory and Syrian territory. That brings your WW 2 comparison to the equivalent of 1945. We occupied Japan in 1945, made reforms, then in ten years we left. In 1967 the Israelis took over and reformed nothing. After establishing military rule they made it permanent for Palestinians in the conquered areas but allowed Israeli citizens to move in, taking with them the protection of their democracy for them only. And the left Gaza with no access to trade by sea, no airport, and built walls all around them, like cattle. Today between the Jordan River and the Sea there are about 12 million individuals who call the area home, roughy half Israeli and half “other”. If the Israelis could accept the fact that their dream of a Jewish-only state failed, they’d get to work resolving a vexing problem. But instead they bomb Gaza, bomb Lebanon, bomb Syria, bomb Iran, hunt “terrorists” around the world and murder them and whatever family members are near them, wreck homes and tear up streets in the West Bank, ignore the plight of the Oct 12 hostages, and starve a population of over a million of food, medical supplies, water, and housing. And speak openly of ethnic cleansing. It’s time for the Israelis to end their fifty year military occupation and find a solution that reflects the respect for life that Jewish communities have championed and defended for centuries everywhere else. And please spare me the cold blooded algebra.

This argument is based on many false premises and it omits the most important facts. What happened after 1967 was continued attacks from Arabs (as before 1967), including those in the territories held at the end of the 1967 war. Gaza's access was limited because of legitimate security concerns due to weapons smuggling and constant attacks on Israel. The Jewish state did not fail; it is thriving, an incredible success story. Israel actions against Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, etc., were all defensive responses to threats and attacks. You put the word terrorists in quotations as if the label were wrong, which is nonsense. Not a single person has died of starvation in Gaza since the war started. There are thousands, if not millions, of Palestinians and Arabs calling for ethnic cleansing of Jews/Israelis for every one of the handful of lunatics on the Israeli side calling for the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. And what "respect for life" is there on the side that has never stopped attacking Israel and murdering its citizens?

Identify and accept the reasons why sporadic attacks have not stopped since 1948, and address those underlying reasons politically, not militarily. Rely on the easy slander that Arabs want to wipe Israel off the map and the violence will continue. It was the Israeli’s who wiped people and their villages off the map in the ‘48 war, and began the process again after 1967 with settlers. To do so and not expect resistance is not just delusional, it’s deeply immoral. The two populations are half and half. Palestinians are not going anywhere. They’re already home. Continue to abuse them and they will resist, and resist, and resist, and Israel will have to kill every one of them. You know, the final solution.

Complete denial of reality in an attempt to shoehorn the world into your ideology. Your characterization of what happened in 1948 is so wrong, as is the rest of your message. The strategy of the Palestinians and those who have purposefully weaponized them has not changed and has been publicly announced nonstop from Azzam Pasha to al-Husseini to Nasser to Arafat to Sinwar and so many others. They have said they would slaughter the Jews and they have tried again and again to slaughter the Jews. And after all this Israel has never started a war against any of them. Yet you talk of Israel as the aggressor and oh so cleverly invoke the "final solution." Go peddle your ahistorical, hateful crap somewhere else. You idiots can never resist unmasking yourselves.

What makes you think that we would be more successful with this technique of the propaganda war--the dissemination of this truth--than with any other?

You say that nobody has tried this. That is to my certain knowledge false. It has not been overwhelmingly successful. Ah, but if they did it your way that would be different, yes?

We are losing the propaganda war partly because we are a tiny people, and our academics, journalists, and public relations people (no few of whom are at best half-hearted) are nearly drowned among all their hostile gentile peers; and partly for all the reasons that Jew-hatred is the oldest, most universal, most fun hatred of all the hatreds that have ever existed.

I’m not saying it has never been tried. I’m saying it is foundational to the anti-Israel argument and, therefore, we have to fight it. I agree with much of what else you say … but it doesn’t change the fact that we should not just give up and accept this critical falsehood.

I like Margaret Thatcher’s line, “You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.”

People think in terms of learned ideas. Definitely over the past 25 years, the idea was established that the Israel-Palestine conflict is a black and white issue, and Israel is the bad guy in that idea.

Also, people in the world are not personally connected. Of course, if their own communities, countries were attacked in the manner of Oct 7, they would support a massive reprisal with little to no consideration for collateral damage. So there you have it, the twin characteristics that most people think based on learned ideas and people don't care about others around the world the way they care about themselves and their own kind.

This article makes so much sense, however I wonder if logic can prevail when it comes to antisemitism. I heard on Sam Harris’ latest episode with David Deutch explaining it as a “pattern” in the history of human societies. I’m beginning to wonder if it is a feature not a bug. 🤷‍♀️

I heard that, too ... really interesting. I'm a bit of a pessimist when it comes to logic prevailing. Facts and reason seems to have no effect on faith or ideology. Antisemitism isn't quite either but it's close. Maybe the three form a Venn diagram with a lot of overlap. My view is that facts, logic, and education can be very effective in preventing antisemitism but, once it takes hold, the only thing that suppresses it are consequences (shaming, legal action, force). Consequences won't undo antisemitism, but it can keep the bigots quiet and persuade them to keep their ugly thoughts in their own heads.

Because They (the Tribe of Judah= Jews) have kept the identifying sign between them and “ The I Am” this is what sets them apart from the rest of the Tribes of Israel. It is a perpetual Sign between Me & Thee of the Covenant made at Mt Sinai.

All Jews are Israelites! Not All Israelites are Jews! If the identity of the modern day descendants of the other (lost tribes) knew Who, they were, and the world knew Who they were, they also would be “persecuted” if they kept the Shabbat(s)

The “world” is against “them the Jews” because The World is against G*D and this hostility is taken out on The Jews as a direct result and consequence.

The time is coming when “I will gather all the Tribes of Israel (including Ephraim & Manasseh, Joseph’s Sons) from every corner of the Earth to Jerusalem and then every Nation, Tongue & Kindred will come to Mt Zion

When they beat their Swords into Ploughshares and their Spears into Pruning Hooks and learn the way of war no more, they will neither hurt nor destroy in all My Holy Mountain.

The real PR war is against The Eternal…. The Jews are “a peculiar people” that are hated for standing out, by keeping the only thing that Identifies Them and the existence of The Eternal.

There is much more to it, this is but an overview.
